Tap the [Vehicle] icon on the CID screen → [About]. At the top of the interface, tap [XOS Version Number] to enter the System Information interface. This interface serves as the system update entry and displays basic vehicle information: XOS Version, (New) Version Notes, Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), etc.

To avoid OTA update failure, users need to confirm the following network and environmental requirements for the vehicle update before proceeding: 

1. Ensure the network is stable during the OTA download and installation. 

2. The vehicle cannot be used during the OTA update, including locking or unlocking. Please allow sufficient time for the update to complete. 

3. Park the vehicle in a safe location (e.g., home garage, parking lot) before initiating the update. Do not start the update while on a driving route (e.g., at a traffic light, on a highway emergency lane). 

4. Ensure the vehicle is stationary and in P gear during the update. 

5. Ensure the battery charge level is not lower than 30% during the update. 

6. Charging cannot be performed during the OTA update.

3 options for updates on the CID screen:

Option 1: Immediate Update-Park safely and shift to P gear. On the CID screen, tap the "Vehicle" icon → "General" → "System Update" → "Update Now".

Option 2: Schedule Automatic Nighttime Update-"On the central screen, tap the "Vehicle" icon → "General" → "System Update" → "Schedule Update" to set your preferred automatic update time. To cancel a scheduled update, return to the "System Update" page and tap "Cancel Scheduled Update" at the bottom. Note: If the scheduled time arrives while the vehicle is in use, the automatic update will be cancelled. Please have the customer reset the schedule for a new update time. 

Option 3: Automatic Nighttime Update-On the central screen, tap the "Vehicle" icon → "General" → "Update Settings" → enable "Automatic Update". The system will automatically install new versions at 3:00 AM when available. To disable automatic nighttime updates, return to this page and turn off the "Automatic Update" feature.

If the vehicle hasn't been used for more than 1 month: 

If this happens, it indicates that your low-voltage auxiliary battery charge is insufficient. We recommend using the vehicle more frequently – the battery will recharge automatically while driving. Once the charge meets the upgrade requirement, you can try updating again by tapping the upgrade interface. Please give it another try, and feel free to contact us if you have further questions. 

If the vehicle hasn't been used within 1 month, we recommend a physical vehicle inspection at our service centre to determine the exact cause of the issue. 

1. You can access the version update interface via either of the following methods: ① In the Xpeng APP, tap the OTA update notification banner at the top of the "Xpeng" vehicle control page to jump directly to the update interface. ② On the "Xpeng" vehicle control page, go to the "Settings" icon (upper right corner) → "Vehicle System" to enter the update interface.

2. Review the update notes, then tap "Update Now" to remotely connect to the vehicle for a condition check.

3. Once the vehicle condition check passes, the update package will be installed. A prompt will confirm the successful update to the latest version upon completion.

4. If the vehicle’s system is already running the latest version, the OTA update page will display "The current version is already the latest", along with the release notes for the latest version available.

Note: The Xpeng APP does not support scheduling a preferred update time. To schedule an update, use the "Schedule Automatic Nighttime Update" feature on the CID screen instead.

When a new OTA version is available, the system will push the update package to the vehicle, which will be automatically downloaded by the vehicle's backend. Once the download is complete, the backend will notify users of the available update through the following two methods: 

• On the CID screen: 

1. When the vehicle is powered on for the first time after getting the package, the CID screen will automatically display a Xey Xpeng reminder pop-up notifying you of the new version update. 

2. On the CID screen, tap the "Vehicle" icon → "General" → "System Update" to view the 'New Version' indicator and details of the OTA update content. 

3. Before confirming the update, a pop-up warning will appear with the following reminders: "This update will take approximately XX minutes. The vehicle cannot be driven during the update—please initiate it only when it won’t interfere with road use." You must manually check the box <I confirm the vehicle is parked in a safe area> to proceed with the update. 

• On Xpeng APP: 

Xpeng APP— a 'Vehicle Update Available' notification appears at the top of the 'Xpeng' tab's vehicle control interface.

To ensure charging safety, the vehicle's security system has locked the charging connector. You may repeatedly lock and unlock the vehicle, then attempt to disconnect the charger during each unlock cycle. To avoid recurrence of the issue, before unplugging the charging cable, please first tap [Stop Charging] on the CID screen, then proceed to unplug. Otherwise, the vehicle's safety system will activate, locking the charging cable in place to prevent removal while powered—ensuring the safety of both the vehicle system and the user.
